This page is maintained by Aicher to explain how we handle personal data when you use our website or contact us. Aicher is a small UK technical website consultancy. If you have any questions about this policy, email hello@aicher.co.uk.

What we collect

When you submit the Website Health Snapshot form, we collect the information you provide, which includes:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Company name
  • Website URL
  • The main issue you selected
  • Your message
  • The page on our site you submitted from (source page)
  • The date and time of submission

We do not ask for special category data, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use your data

We use the information you submit to:

  • Respond to your enquiry
  • Prepare and deliver your Website Health Snapshot review
  • Manage ongoing client and prospect communication
  • Improve our services and understand what our visitors need

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to enquiries you've sent us) and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Where your data is stored

Form submissions are stored securely in the website backend and database. When you submit the form, we also send an email notification to hello@aicher.co.uk so we can respond.

Analytics

We use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how people use our website — for example, which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive. These tools may set cookies or collect technical information such as your IP address, browser, and device type. We use this information in aggregate to improve the site.

Service providers

We rely on trusted service providers to run the website, deliver email notifications, provide analytics, host our data, and support our day-to-day business systems. These providers only process your data on our behalf and in line with their own privacy and security commitments.

We don't sell your data

Aicher does not sell personal data. We don't share your information with third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to help us understand usage through analytics. For more detail on the specific cookies we use and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct anything that's inaccurate
  • Delete your data where appropriate
  • Restrict or object to how we use it

To make a request, email hello@aicher.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Retention

We keep enquiry and client data for as long as it's needed to provide our services, manage the client relationship, and meet our legal and business obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
